A St. Johns County man has been arrested on multiple counts of possession of child sexual abuse records.

Joshua Gamlia, 49, is charged with four felony charges of possession of child sexual abuse material and is being held on $40,000 bail.

ST. JONES COUNTY, Florida — A 49-year-old man was arrested Tuesday and faces multiple charges of possession of child sexual abuse records, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office.

Internet Crimes Against Children SJCSO detectives have taken Joshua Gamlia into custody after an investigation revealed he was allegedly in possession of child sexual abuse material.

According to the arrest warrant, on April 28, the National Center for Missing Exploited Children created a newsletter accusing Gumlia of possessing 12 photographs of fully nude underage girls.

On June 28, Gumlia handed over his iPhones and iPads, provided passwords to the devices, and signed the agency’s consent to search for the electrical device. During an interview the same day, Gumlia told police that he was working with young golfers. A day later, the warrant shows forensic detectives executing a search warrant while downloading material from Gumlia’s devices.

On July 3, a separate digital forensic upload on Gumlia’s devices showed 16 recent searches uncovering child exploitation-related sexual abuse. On Monday, four images of fully nude underage girls were found on Gumliya’s devices.

Gamlia faces four child sexual abuse material charges and is on $40,000 bail.

This case was investigated in cooperation with the Northeast Florida Interagency Child Exploitation and Trafficking Task Force.
