Arrested for drunk driving following a crash on I-4 in Osceola County.
COUNTY COUNTY, Florida. A driver arrested Friday in Osceola County is charged with crashing into an SUV on Interstate 4 and running away from the crash site, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred around 4:45 am on I-4 westbound near Championsgate, the military said.
According to the accident report, a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu driven by 24-year-old Antonio Cole of Winter Haven was rear-ended into a 2014 Ford Escape while both were driving in the outer lane. The soldiers believe that Cole did not notice the SUV long enough to avoid the crash.
The report says the Chevy rolled over several times, crashed into a fence and landed on the roof. The driver of the Ford, a 42-year-old resident of Lake Wales, remained at the scene and, according to the military, later took himself to the hospital with minor injuries. Cole escaped, according to the records.
