Authorities are looking for a man suspected of killing four people in Georgia

HAMPTON, GA — (FloridaToday.news) — Authorities searched Saturday for a man suspected of killing three men and a woman in Georgia.

Andre Longmore, a 40-year-old man from Hampton, Georgia, is considered armed and dangerous, Hampton Police Chief James Turner told a news conference.

Authorities said the shooting occurred late Saturday morning in the Hampton area, a city of about 8,500 about 40 miles (65 km) south of Atlanta.

Turner said detectives are investigating at least four crime scenes that are in close proximity to one another. He declined to discuss a possible motive.

Authorities did not name the victims, saying they were trying to notify their families.

Henry County Sheriff Reginald Scandrett said his office is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to Longmore’s arrest and prosecution.

He also addressed Longmore directly, saying, “Wherever you are, we will hunt you down, whatever hole you hide in, and take you into custody. Period.”

Several local law enforcement agencies and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation assist in the manhunt and investigation.

The shooting was the 31st mass shooting in 2023, killing at least 153 people this year, according to a database maintained by the Associated Press and USA Today in partnership with Northeastern University.
