Crime on video: Infamous ‘Fine Wine Bandit’ remains on the run in Miami-Dade

Pinecrest, Florida. This prolific thief with a taste for the finer things in life has no shame. Within months, he stole thousands of dollars worth of fine wine and champagne from Milam’s Market stores.

Local News 10 covered the story at the end of June and it didn’t stop there. The Milam family wants him caught and they have noticed patterns in his behavior.

In June, Chad Milam called the impudent thief “qualified”. Michael Milam said on Thursday they could use the public’s help to stop him.

“He just comes in the same clothes over and over again,” said Michael Milam. “Like he wants to be caught.

In June, surveillance video shows a thief stuffing bottles of wine down his pants at the Milam market at 3050 SW 37th Ave., near Coral Gables. By the end of July, he had become known as the infamous “Fine Wine Bandit”.

More recently, the thief struck again on Monday and Tuesday at the popular Milam location at 11701 South Dixie Highway, in Pinecrest.

The thief even got to the bottles that are on the market behind glass – and under lock and key. He didn’t break the glass; he opened the front door.

Chad Milam said they had never seen anyone like him. The family has operated Milam’s Markets in Miami since 1984. Michael Milam said they were not going to give up. They want him to be caught.

Detectives have asked anyone with information about the case to call the Miami-Dade County Crime Squad at 305-471-8477.
