Man rushed to hospital after lightning strike near Fruit Cove

ST. JONES, Florida. Today, residents of the Fruit Cove area were frightened by a loud explosion, causing emergency services to arrive at the scene.


Witnesses reported seeing the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and paramedics responding to the incident as they gathered near the site of a tree with a seat and missing branches.

According to a spokesman for the St. Johns County Fire and Rescue Service, ambulance crews received a distress call for the injury. However, specific details related to the nature of the incident were not immediately disclosed.
