Miami TSA officers arrested for stealing flyers during airport screening
Last week, three TSA officers at Miami International Airport were arrested on charges of stealing from plane passengers, including stealing hundreds of dollars in cash from a man’s wallet.
Josu Gonzalez, 20; Elizabeth Fuster, 22; and Labarrius Williams, 33, were charged with organized fraud, according to Miami-Dade County prison records. They were sent to the Turner Gilford Knight Detention Center.
The arrest affidavit states that Miami International Airport authorities began investigating several reports of theft at Checkpoint E, where the officers were located.
Gonzalez, Fuster and Williams were caught on CCTV footage working together to steal from passengers as they went through routine TSA checks, arrest reports show, according to NBC Miami.

Security footage at the checkpoint reportedly showed that while some officers tried to distract passengers during the security check, others were rummaging through passengers’ belongings for money.
In one case, three criminals managed to steal $600 from one passenger’s wallet. Cameras reportedly recorded their participation in several other cases of theft.

“The Transportation Security Administration requires its Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) to maintain the highest professional and ethical standards and does not tolerate workplace misconduct,” the TSA said in a statement released to Fox News Digital.
“We have actively and aggressively investigated these allegations of misconduct and have presented our findings to the MDPD and are working closely with them. Any employee who does not comply with our core ethical standards is liable.”
After a formal interview at the TSA command center, Gonzalez and Fuster reportedly waived their rights and made written confessions. However, Williams did not waive his rights or provide any communications.
