One person was killed and three others injured in a drive-by shooting in Lauderhill.

LOUDERHILL, Florida. (TodayNews) – A drive-by shooting at night in the Lauderhill area killed one person and injured three, police said.

The Lauderhill Police Department received calls for help after reports that several people were shot dead after a party in the 3100 block of North West Second Street shortly before 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

Upon arrival, law enforcement officers found four adult victims with gunshot wounds.

Investigators said the victims were standing in the yard when a black Dodge Charger drove up to the house and the occupants started firing from the car. The vehicle then fled east along Northwest Second Street toward Northwest 31st Avenue.

The Lauderhill Fire Rescue and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue units transported two victims to Broward Health Hospital in Fort Lauderdale with non-life-threatening injuries. The third victim was scratched in the lower back and was treated at the scene, and the fourth victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

As of Sunday afternoon, police had not identified the victims.

Forensicists have placed more than 50 shell casing markers from the flurry of gunshots.

“I saw about 30 shots on the ground,” the witness said.

The body of the dead victim was taken away from the scene on Sunday morning, friends had to look for answers, and investigators were able to track down the shooter.

“My mother called me and said that someone had come and shelled my house. I ran, only I see my best friend in the yard, dead, as if he is a crazy person, this is crazy, ”said the friend of the victim.

Police are continuing to investigate the shooting.
