TAMPA, Florida (TodayNews) — A Miami mother has been charged after she went to a spoof website to hire a hitman to kill her 3-year-old son, NBC affiliate WTVJ reports.
Jazmine Paez, 18, allegedly went to rentahitman.com, requesting a hitman, and additionally sent photos of her son and the exact location where he would be.
Website owner Robert Ines told WTVJ that the site was originally intended for a cybersecurity company, but has received requests for these services over the years.
Ines said many of the requests were fake, but Paez’s request seemed too real.

“The ability to research names and addresses and verify the intended target lived at a particular address. For me, this is a red flag,” said Iness. “If this information is confirmed, for me this is something to look out for, and that is why I referred to it.”
Iness claimed to have called the Miami-Dade Police Department, but they did not believe him.
“They weren’t interested. They sent me an email saying that if I contacted again they were going to send a cease and desist letter,” Iness said.
Paez was arrested Tuesday on charges of incitement to murder and illegal use of a communications device.
