Rapper Spottem Gottem arrested in North Miami Beach after a high speed chase and gun discovery.

NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Florida. (TodayNews) — Nehemiah Harden, better known by his rap alias SpottemGottem, was detained by the Miami-Dade Police Department on Tuesday after a high-speed chase and discovery of an illegal firearm.

According to the detention form, the incident occurred as law enforcement officials were conducting a preemptive operation in response to a surge in violent crime in the area near NE 164th Street and NE 6th Avenue. Police spotted a heavily tinted red Corvette parked outside a Westar gas station at 16300 NE 6th Avenue around 9:15 pm.

The police attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the accused, later identified as 21-year-old Nehemiah Harden, increased his speed and fled, leading to a pursuit.

During the pursuit, another police officer received a signal about a fleeing car. Near NE 15th Avenue and NE 179, Harden collided with another vehicle and subsequently fled the scene. In connection with this incident, a sentence for hit and run was handed down. The pursuit ended when Harden’s car broke down at the northeast corner of 180th Street and northeast 15th Avenue.

Harden fled on foot and took refuge in a barn located at 178th Street, 1482 NE. The officers set up a perimeter and he was detained inside the barn by the police.

A search of Harden’s car led to the discovery of a black Glock 23 with a green rubber grip modified with an illegal Glock fully automatic sear. An extended .40 pistol magazine containing 19 rounds was found on the right side of the driver’s seat, as well as a loose .40 round in the center console.

Further investigation revealed that Harden, a convicted felon, did not have a gun permit. Previous convictions include criminal possession of a firearm, aggravated assault with a firearm, and escaping and evading a police officer. In addition, Harden’s driver’s license was suspended and he was registered as a member of a criminal gang under Florida State Statute 874.

The seized evidence, including firearms, was handed over to investigators for further investigation.

Nehemiah Harden, also known as Spottem Gottham, is now facing multiple charges related to his actions during the stalking and illegal possession of firearms.
