“We have neighbors who don’t like to spray,” the owner told Becker. So it’s the neighbor’s fault? Becker asked. “Of course,” the owner replied.

Government inspectors found 15 live cockroaches, 7 dead cockroaches and 10 live flying insects. It was temporarily closed.

The owner followed Becker outside, and an altercation ensued:

Owner: “I don’t want you to drop what I’m saying, be gentle with people.”

Becker “I was very nice.”

Owner: “No, you were aggressive.”

Becker: “I was very nice.”

Becker’s terminus is Players Grill on Hendrix Avenue, off San Jose Boulevard. It was cited after an employee was handling contaminated equipment and doing food preparation, time/temperature safety violations, and lack of a Heimlich maneuver sign.

All restaurants have been re-inspected.
