Sarasota Police: Nursing home worker may have more molestation victims

SARASOTA, Florida. The Sarasota Police Department said it was looking for other possible victims of a nursing home assistant arrested for molestation.

Police said investigators began searching for Marco Tulio Avila Romero in late June. Romero has worked in several nursing homes in Sarasota City and Sarasota County.

According to police, Romero allegedly harassed victims who were unable to report that they had been molested. Police arrested Romero on July 18 on charges of indecent and lascivious solicitation.

Sarasota police detectives said there could be additional casualties and appealed to the public for help. If you have any information related to Romero, please call 941-263-6075.
