Tampa Bay Fitness Group Helps Moms and Kids Stay Fit
TAMPA, Florida (FloridaToday.news) — It can be very difficult for a new parent to get outside, play sports, and just be around other adults.
But Fit4Mom Tampa Bay helps parents do just that. The fitness group allows moms to bring their toddlers and kids to class – actually encouraged!
Regina Hord, the owner, explains that the workout program is not just for moms to bond with their kids, but other women as well.
“It makes them talk, it makes them move, it makes them bask in the sun,” Hord says.
She says she often sees how effective exercise in this environment is for women who feel isolated or experience postpartum depression, which she experienced as a new mom.
Taryn Ferry takes two children with her every time. It’s nice for her to be able to connect with other moms for at least an hour every day.
“It doesn’t always have to be about kids,” Ferry says. “It could be ‘what movie are you watching, what TV show are you watching?’
They also offer all kinds of activities, including the popular stroller steps, which I was invited to participate in! You are sure to sweat and get the support of others going through all of motherhood to offer along with you.
